Across many low-income communities, thousands of people live in needless darkness caused by preventable or treatable eye conditions such as cataracts. Cataract blindness, for example, can often be corrected with a simple 20-minute surgery. However, for families struggling to meet their daily needs, the cost of surgery, transportation, and post-operative care is far beyond reach. Our Health Aid Project is dedicated to restoring sight through free or subsidized eye surgeries for children, adults, and the elderly who would otherwise remain blind.
On average, the full cost of a cataract surgery including medical staff, surgical equipment, hospital fees, and follow-up treatment can be covered with as little as $75 to $150 per patient. This small amount can completely transform someone’s life: a child can go back to school, a parent can return to work and provide for their family, and an elderly person can regain independence and dignity. The ripple effect is powerful, as each restored vision helps an entire household escape from cycles of poverty and dependency.
Your donation can directly fund these surgeries. For example:
$75 can cover the cost of surgery for one patient.
$150 can restore sight to two individuals.
$500 can support an entire small community eye surgery campaign.
Together, we can bring light back to those who have been living in darkness. Every contribution counts, and every restored vision is a new story of hope, opportunity, and transformation
