Poverty remains one of the most pressing challenges in Ethiopia, where millions of families struggle to meet their basic needs due to limited access to resources, unstable incomes, and climate-related hardships such as drought. Many rural households depend entirely on small-scale farming, yet lack the tools, training, and financial support to make their work sustainable. As a result, communities are trapped in cycles of poverty, hunger, and dependency.
Our Livelihood & Poverty Alleviation Project is designed to break this cycle by providing vulnerable families with the skills, resources, and opportunities to build sustainable livelihoods. This includes:
Vocational Training in areas such as carpentry, tailoring, food processing, and small business management.
Agricultural Support through improved seeds, farming tools, irrigation solutions, and training in climate-smart farming.
Microfinance & Small Grants to help families start or expand income-generating activities such as poultry, dairy farming, or small trade.
Women & Youth Empowerment programs that encourage self-reliance, job creation, and leadership within communities.
With $100, a family can receive a starter kit for poultry farming; $250 can provide training and resources for a woman entrepreneur to launch a small business; and $1,000 can support an entire community cooperative with the tools and mentorship needed to thrive.
