Climate Action -Tree Planting Campaign in Eastern Africa

Climate Action -Tree Planting Campaign in Eastern Africa

Eastern Africa faces the harsh realities of deforestation, desertification, and prolonged droughts, all of which threaten food security, livelihoods, and biodiversity. Each year, millions of trees are lost due to unsustainable farming, firewood collection, and climate change impacts. Without urgent action, vulnerable communities will continue to struggle with soil erosion, water scarcity, and declining agricultural productivity.

Our Tree Planting Campaign is a climate action initiative that directly addresses these challenges by restoring degraded land, combating desertification, and creating green, resilient environments. The project focuses on:

  • Community Tree Nurseries to produce native and fruit-bearing seedlings.

  • Large-Scale Planting on farmlands, schools, riverbanks, and deforested areas.

  • Agroforestry Programs that combine trees with crops for improved soil fertility and food production.

  • Youth & Women Engagement to create jobs through seedling preparation, planting, and long-term maintenance.

Every tree planted is an investment in the planet and in people’s lives. On average, $1 can plant and nurture 2 trees. A donation of $50 can support a smallholder farmer with 100 seedlings, while $500 can establish a community nursery that produces thousands of seedlings annually.

Beyond environmental benefits, this campaign strengthens local livelihoods: farmers gain sustainable income from fruit trees, communities benefit from improved soil and water conservation, and future generations inherit a healthier, greener Eastern Africa. By joining hands, we can turn barren landscapes into thriving ecosystems, fight climate change, and bring hope to millions across the region.
